Vicente Inat was born 40 years ago in Valencia, where he studied Agricultural Engineering at the Polytechnic University and began his professional trajectory at the Agrochemical and Technological Food Institute (IATA-CSIC),
He simultaneously began investigative work while, being drawn to the world of wine, enrolling in and obtaining a Bachelor´s degree in Enology, graduating top of his class. After graduating and completing several grape harvests in different Denominations of Origin he settled in Ronda participating in various projects, two of which he is presently still working on: Descalzos Viejos and Bodegas Lunares.
In 2013 he visited the area of the Axarquía and was smitten with the vineyards and, in particular, the grounds (suelos). For that reason, in 2015, along with his friend, Juan Muñóz, winegrower and processor of the area, they decided to embark on the project Vertical Vineyards. Day to day, he combines his work in the wineries with teaching various Master´s programs and enology and viticulture courses (University of Málaga, Chamber of Commerce, etc.).
