Currently, and since being named Mayor, she bears the title of President of the Spanish Wine Cities Association (ACEVIN) founded in 1994. Under her direction, ACEVIN is the leader of the Club of the Tourism Product WINES ROUTES OF SPAIN.
The Wine Routes of Spain is a project dedicated to touristic and local development based on public cooperation – private support came about in 2001 as an initiative of ACEVIN and with the support of Ministry of Tourism of the State. Currently the Club of Products, Wine Routes of Spain, is one of the most well established Touristic Product Clubs of the country, and, with the support of the State Administration through the Ministry of Agriculture, Fishing and Food, the Ministry of Tourism of the State and the Institute of Tourism TURESPAÑA, it has become a point of reference on a national and international level. The club is currently made up of 28 enotouristic sites located all over the country, which promote the wines and gastronomy of each territory, networking, sustainable tourism, and public and private collaboration. The group is currently made up of more than 600 municipalities and more than 2,000 businesses (600 of which are wineries) and receives more than 3.2 million national and international visitors annually and has experienced increased growth in the last few years. The principal enotourism destinations and most famous wine regions of the country form part of Wine Routes of Spain as a formally established organization, created with its own model of development for sustainable enotourism that ensures quality of service and, at the same time, has the support of the corresponding provincial and/or Regional Public Administrations.
